The 9th Tableau Singapore Public Sector Day returned to the stage on 18 August 2022! Supported by the Government Agency Technology (GovTech), this annual DATA event for the PubSec community gathered over 600 officers across the government, public healthcare and public education institutions, to learn about the latest innovations in modern analytics and to discover new ways of using data to improve outcomes and build public trust. Akkasha Sultan
Akkasha leads the Southeast Asia team at Tableau, and is responsible for driving customer success and growing the territory’s business. With over 22 years of experience in management and sales leadership roles, he supported and partnered enterprises across the Asia Pacific region to transform through technology. Akkasha has a passion for cloud innovations and enjoys helping customers realize the value that innovations can bring to their businesses. Before joining Tableau, he led the business applications portfolio at Microsoft and Oracle. He also took on consulting roles at BMW, Ciba and BPO companies across ASEAN and the Middle East.
TC Gan
TC is a founder member of the Tableau APAC operation when it started in 2012. He plays a key role in establishing Tableau to become a leading and trusted modern analytics technology provider in this region. He has over 30 years of enterprise software and consulting experience. At Tableau, TC leads a team of highly motivated and skilled solution engineers. The singular mission of his team is to help organizations succeed in adopting a self-service modern analytics platform, and in building a culture of data to help drive business innovation, change and transformation.
Jason See
Jason focuses on driving digital transformation across the public sector using data science and AI, through consultancy projects, technology incubation, product and platform development and capability development efforts. Prior to joining GovTech, he led the start-up of a new division at MINDEF which comprised the CIO Office, the Corporate Development Directorate and the Data Science Department. He was responsible for the strategy and resource prioritization for MINDEF digital transformation efforts, including pushing new initiatives with Agile and the commercial cloud. Jason is passionate about innovation and challenging the status quo to make a positive difference.
David Foo
David joined the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in 2017 and was appointed as MPA’s Chief Data Officer (CDO) in 2019. As the CDO, David leads the data transformation within MPA as part of the wider Government Data Strategy and the Smart Nation effort. This includes formulating MPA’s Data Strategy and framework, the creation of a core data unit as part of the hub and spoke model, and being deeply involved in the development of data capabilities across the organization.
Ganesh Rengasamy
Ganesh has been with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for more than a decade. He has undertaken various roles during his stint at MOM and is currently leading a data governance office to implement MOM’s data strategy. He also collaborates with the IT department and business units on the development of MOM’s enterprise data warehouse (EDW). Ganesh is a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Associate and has experience in managing logical and physical data modeling projects.
Joseph Tan
Joseph leads the Capability Development team that runs data initiatives to upskill public officers and uplift agencies across the whole-of-government, as well as the team responsible for executing data transformation efforts at GovTech. Prior to that, Joseph took on roles at various public agencies, from academic roles to programme management. The suite of programmes and initiatives that his team currently runs for the WOG includes the Data Science & AI Competency Framework & Training Roadmaps, Data Science Connect (community building), Data Arcade Tournament (WOG Visual Analytics competition), Data Literacy ePrimer (eLearning for Data Literacy), Data Champions Bootcamp (Training programme for intermediate level) and more.
Andy Yeo
As a Govtechie, Andy leads the Data Analytics Practice Group to assist government agencies in having a robust and resilient data architecture. Andy is also seconded to People’s Association (PA) where he works closely with PA’s Chief Data Officer (CDO) to drive data strategies. During Covid-19 where there were multiple face-mask distribution campaigns, data analytics was core in improving the distribution process. This ensured that residents could get their face-masks in a fast and efficient manner.
Prior to joining PA, Andy was instrumental in architecting the Singapore Police Force (SPF) Google equivalent of a real-time search engine powered by a data lake using the Person Object Location Event (POLE) data categorisation framework. This enhanced SPF’s crime fighting capabilities in incident management, investigation and intel analysis. Andy was awarded the Public Sector Transformation Excel Innovation Champion for his efforts.

Chuah Peng Peng
Peng Peng is a passionate data vizzer. She actively helps customers drive adoption and creates value with data and analytics. Prior to Tableau, she was a business consultant who helped organizations in the aviation sector to drive their digital transformation initiatives.
Benjamin Tan
For the past decade, Benjamin has been immersed in the business intelligence industry with extensive knowledge and experience in data preparation, data warehousing, enterprise reporting and data visualization. His passion for modern data analytics led him to the mastery of Tableau over the last 5 years. He has been active in supporting requirements from the government, insurance and healthcare clients, and continues to help many organizations realize their data discovery capabilities and be empowered with fresh insights to improve outcomes.
Ian Teoh
Ian is an experienced IT practitioner having started his career as programmer and had held various roles from Consultant to Solution Architect, specializing in business intelligence, data management and data governance. As a Principal Solution Engineer at Tableau, he focuses on using data and analytics to help organizations thrive.
Suhendra Tandera
With over 10 years of experience in the software industry, Suhendra Tandera leads the Solution Engineering team who helps organizations build their core capability in extracting valuable insights out of the data and realize the full value of modern analytics technology. He built his career as a coder, programmer, and developer and had taken on multiple roles in tech and software life cycle development as a consultant, professional services and trainer. With a deep interest in developing people and a passion to help customers succeed, he continues to motivate his team of highly skilled product consultants to help more people see and understand data.
Damian Tan
Damian has been in the integration space for over 7 years. Having been in the consulting and product side of the business, he understands the importance of using integration to unlock access to data and how it can be utilized to digitally transform businesses.
Monika Agrawal
Monika Agrawal is a detail-oriented and resourceful solution specialist with over 12 years of experience in digital transformation, business process automation and optimization. As Lead Solutions Engineer for Slack, she drives solutions that enable organizations to deliver their employees and customer’s success from anywhere!
Mint Papatsara
Mint joined Tableau with a quest to help people to see the light beyond the cross-tab. She has been helping organizations to build their core capability in data management, and empowers them to lead transformation with data and insights.
