Data Careers Fair

The Data Careers Fair is a free virtual networking opportunity for students, recent grads, and those interested in a career in data, to connect with employers in the Tableau ecosystem.

Jobseekers should spend time before the event researching the employers that will be participating and the roles they are hiring for.

Employers are recruiting for both entry-level and mid-career across a variety of roles including developer, consultant, admin, marketing and analyst. Graduate schemes, apprenticeships, and internship opportunities are also available.

We want your day to be successful, so here are some helpful tips:

• Even though the event is virtual, dress in business attire. Recruiters may invite you to a video chat where they can see you, so you want to be sure you make a great impression!
• Practice your personal pitch and be ready to introduce yourself.
• Have your pitch also ready in written format so you can introduce yourself to recruiters in chats.
• Prepare to meet employers with your story, why you want to work for that company, and questions about the company and role.

We recommend that you join the Data Careers Fair from your computer/laptop with webcam and high speed Internet. Make sure you’re in a well lit quiet space so you can engage in video chats. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox browsers to have the best user experience.

The event opens up 5 minutes before the scheduled time to a waiting page. The waiting page will bring you into the event, but you will be unable to click into the different event areas just yet. You will see a counter on the screen, counting down to the event.

There will be companies represented from the UK and Europe. Job seekers must be eligible to legally work in the countries where an employer is hiring.

The Data Careers Fair will be held virtually on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, from 09:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. BST (GMT+1).
