Tableau now connects directly to Google Cloud SQL

We're excited to announce a direct connector to Google Cloud SQL. This optimized connection will allow anyone using Tableau to take advantage of this fast and affordable MySQL database.

In this video, you can see Tableau's Evan Jones connect to Google Cloud SQL from Tableau Desktop. It only takes a couple of seconds to connect initially, then you can join tables and edit the metadata with a click. As always, you can blend Google Cloud SQL data with other connections within Tableau.

Since Tableau already connects to Google Big Query and Google Analytics, it's easy for companies who have made large investments in the Google Cloud ecosystem to integrate all of their data with one tool.
