Design Principles
Chantilly Jaggernauth, VP of Data Visualization & Training at Lovelytics and a 2x Tableau Visionary, shares her visualization design process and concepts for creating stunning business dashboards in Tableau. Throughout the webinar, participants will learn 5 elements of her design process – purpose, flow, typography, color, and art. By the end of the session, attendees will know how to: leverage a design requirements document to capture top KPIs, determine dashboard styles based on the audience and key stakeholders, create a layout with clear hierarchies and grid-like structures, construct dashboard wireframes/templates directly in Tableau, use color effectively to engage and highlight content, and incorporate custom icons/images to reinforce the dashboard’s subject matter.

About the Speakers

James Chen is a sales and solutions consultant at Tableau where he supports strategic accounts with seeing and understanding data with Tableau products. Previously, James worked as an analytics product owner for an AI insurance claims organization and as a business intelligence leader at a large chemical supply chain company. He has a diverse background in enterprise analytics with experience delivering large scale analytics, executive reporting, self-service analytics and C-level analytics initiatives.
 

Chantilly Jaggernauth's mission is to empower corporations and individuals through the use of data visualizations and data analytics. She is a two-year Tableau Visionary who specializes in data visualization, data analytics, design, and training.
Currently, she is the Vice President of Data Visualization and Training at Lovelytics based in Arlington, VA. Prior to joining Lovelytics, Chantilly worked for Johnson and Johnson and Comcast.
In addition to her day job, Chantilly is the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization Millennials and Data (#MAD). Through #MAD, she works to bridge the data literacy and analytical skills gap by training, mentoring, and preparing millennials to enter a data- driven global environment.
 

Cait Sojka recently joined the Lovelytics team after 2.5 years as an Account Executive at Tableau. As Lead Trainer and a Certified Tableau Desktop Consultant, she develops and delivers Tableau training to companies of all sizes and skill levels. Prior to her foray into sales, Cait designed and led volunteer programs for several nonprofits.
