Community Highlight

To recognize new and consistent Tableau contributors—we’re excited to have a section within the weekly DataFam Roundup called the Tableau Community Highlight. Find out how to get involved. 

Tanya Fischer, Business Intelligence Consultant at The Information Lab

Hamburg, Germany

Tanya Fischer is a Business Intelligence Consultant at The Information Lab. She uses Tableau to build dashboards for her clients that support data-driven decisions and teaches Tableau internally. Tanya attributes much of her Tableau expertise to her more experienced colleagues, many of whom are Tableau Visionaries or active members of the community. Now, Tanya is involved in the Tableau Community in a variety of capacities including Tableau User Groups, Tableau Public, community projects, and providing feedback and resources to newbies.

At the Data + Women Germany Tableau User Group and the Hamburg Tableau User Group, Tanya is an active member and has also presented. She hopes to become a co-leader of the Hamburg TUG in order to play a part in expanding the Tableau community there. On Tableau Public, Tanya participates in many community projects and also publishes vizzes on topics of interest to her, inspired by graphic and information designers who create visualizations that enrich other media that may have otherwise been skipped over.
