As a global hub port and international maritime center operating in an increasingly competitive and unpredictable global environment, it is incumbent on MPA to continue enabling Maritime Singapore to punch above her weight. With digital transformation accelerating through the industry, being data-driven is no longer an optional luxury but an essential capability. For MPA, this starts by developing a robust data culture and a range of critical skill sets within the organization. In this session, David will share MPA’s data journey thus far and our data ambition for the future of Maritime Singapore.

Speaker:

Data is key to an organization’s transformation to become more data-driven. But having an abundance of more data does not necessarily mean an organization is more data-driven than another. Instead, having a clear data strategy and good data culture is critical to treat data as an asset and empower everyone to utilize data to achieve business objectives. This presentation will share an overview of MOM’s data strategy and how its data culture enables MOM to increase data usage for decision-making by empowering everyone with trusted data and governed platforms.

Speaker:

The data transformation journey of an organization can be a difficult one. It goes beyond having a few successful data projects; a whole suite of enablers ranging from organization structure, training, infrastructure and to building up a data culture that has to be put in place. This presentation shares tactics on how you can embark on your data transformation journey through a fun story of how the lead protagonist, McCarthy, sets out to change their current approach of building a rocket ship to helping his planet escape to the Digi Galaxy!

Speaker:

When someone mentions a data driven organization, what immediately comes to your mind? What are the considerations for any organization to succeed in this digital world? With data becoming a core asset of any organization, it is even more critical now than ever to analyze the data to make meaningful business decisions. Take a peek at the key enablers to drive the data culture beyond just having the proper organization structure. The key enablers underpin your organization’s ability to maintain such decisions and will go a long way in helping your organization achieve its mission and strategic outcomes.
