The Digital Front Door Series – Part 1 – “Inside the Front Door” – Virtual Care Analysis Use Case

For many provider organizations the digital front door represents a unique opportunity to interact with and serve the patient community before healthcare services are ever provided. The actively evolving patient digital revolution and care delivery recalibrations are rapidly changing the playing field for providers. Patients are becoming more activated in their care and digitally interacting with a provider system experiencing extreme competition and consolidation along with new market players from the retail sector. The digital front door is one of many digital transformation efforts meant to support this changing landscape and organizations must be analytically prepared to best support their patient community while ensuring fiscally and clinically sound policies and programs. In Part 1 of the series, we will look at patients “inside the front door” and how analytics can be used to better manage policies, programs, and care delivery. Part 2 of the series will outline how real-time analytics and data can improve engagement and care delivery both at the front door and with care delivery strategies.

  1. Virtual Care Candidate Analysis: Digital front door strategies must connect patients with high-quality service providers at the right location while minimizing the $150B annual burden of no-shows. A recent study shows that 88% of Americans want to continue using telehealth for non-urgent consultations. For those patients who may or may not be good virtual care candidates and are “at the front door”, intelligent, AI-driven, scheduling activities must be informed by analyzing patients “in the front door”. We will show how both broad and targeted dashboards can help organizations better understand no-show risk, while taking a proactive stance on care setting alternatives such as virtual care delivery.
  2. Virtual Care: Population Risk and Care Delivery Analysis: Insights gleaned from patient population data can be employed to design/calibrate AI-driven triage and care delivery strategies. With ~2.5% of the population driving almost 25% of healthcare costs, high-risk cohorts are the top priority for all provider organizations. We know patients have vastly different needs and we should be highly informed through data on how to best manage patient populations. Hear how data can inform the most proactive way to stratify and manage population risk to ensure the right care is delivered in the right setting while mitigating avoidable emergency care and/or readmissions.

We hope you will be able to join this highly interactive and engaging discussion with three of our senior healthcare experts on how data can help with Digital Front Door efforts – “inside the door”.
