At Tableau, we like to get our innovation into the hands of customers as quickly as possible. We want customers to try out new features and give us feedback so we can make them even better. A limited release program allows customers to use new features in their production environments ahead of the general availability of those features.

If you are a Tableau Cloud Admin and request access to this program, our team will evaluate your request and respond within 5 business days to let you know either way. As the name implies, spots in this program are limited in number and therefore, we sadly can’t accept everyone. The good news is when this program concludes, the feature will be generally available to customers.

Products and features contained in the limited release program are free of charge to the participants.

Customers who have been accepted into the program will have access for the duration of the program. Those customers who are part of the program will receive communications about start and end dates.

Tableau’s Data Management Add-on is a new collection of features and functionality that helps you manage data and assets within the Tableau environment. This limited release program is focused on Tableau Prep Conductor in Tableau Cloud.

Yes! If you feel the features are not to your liking or not useful for your end users, please reach out to us to get it deactivated from your site.

We’re looking for applicants who are currently Tableau Cloud customers and have already begun using Tableau Prep Builder to build flows and prep data. We’re also looking for customers who make use of cloud databases in their analysis work.

No. All limited release programs at Tableau are completely voluntary and do not require purchase of the products or features after the program has concluded. We just want you to try them out! But we’ll be sure to give you a heads-up before the program ends to give you the option to purchase.

Yes, Tableau Prep Conductor during this program is limited to accessing Online Cloud Sources that are supported by Tableau Prep Builder today like Snowflake and Amazon Redshift. Additionally, Prep Conductor on Tableau Cloud currently does not support file outputs, only published data sources as the output type.
