There is no better representation of what makes Tableau unique than the Tableau Community. Beyond the product, the Tableau Community has been both why and how we’ve succeeded together—through sharing best practices, growing careers, and supporting the organizations that make the world a better place. One of the greatest gifts Tableau receives from the community is your feedback. 

We all want to do better and continue to innovate on what's possible to help people see and understand data. We love Tableau and the Tableau Community, and you give us the motivation to wake up every day and find ways to improve and innovate on your behalf. 

Help us build products you love

If you use something every day, it's likely that you've thought of ways to make it work better for you and your needs. We had this in mind in 2011 when Tableau created the Ideas section of the Forums. This allowed anyone to share, comment on, and upvote ideas for Tableau product features you’d like to see created. 

In order to create a better experience for the Tableau Community, we moved the Ideas Section of the Tableau Forums to Salesforce IdeaExchange. This offers extensive functionality to improve our community-driven innovation process and offer a better experience through a modernized system, including the ability for the community to propose merging ideas and an Activity Page to monitor the status of ideas you care about.

If you shared or upvoted an idea, provided feedback to our product teams, taught others how to use new capabilities, or helped us understand the impact of these features to you, then thank you! The Tableau Community inspires our work and helps us innovate further.

Every day, Tableau’s product teams engage with our community to understand how you use our products and what could help you more successfully see, understand, and act on your data. 

As we expand, we’re adding more capabilities across all of our products to meet you where you are—whether you use Tableau Public, Desktop, Prep, Server, Cloud, or Tableau Next. We’ll continue to offer the most choice and flexibility to grow with you as your technology and data strategy evolve. And we’ll continue to take action on your feedback.
