Updated machine requirements for Tableau Server trials

Starting with the Tableau 2019.2 release in the second quarter of 2019, we are updating our minimum machine specifications to deploy a Tableau Server trial. For Tableau Server versions 2019.2 and beyond, you will need a 4-core processor and 16 GB of RAM. This is to support a better experience with enterprise features that we’ve added in recent releases. We’ve outlined these changes below. Note that our production Tableau Server min spec remains unchanged.

By taking advantage of larger multi-core processors and additional memory, we can build a more powerful and performant product to meet the needs of your organization. And of course, to you’ll want to size your production deployment appropriately to handle the workloads and users you support with Tableau. This change does not impact Tableau Desktop, Tableau Public, Tableau Prep, or Tableau Bridge.
