DataFam Roundup: January 20-24, 2025
Welcome! Dig into this week's DataFam Roundup—a weekly blog that brings together community content all in one post. As always, we invite you to send us your content—and the DataFam content from your peers that have inspired you! Find the content submission form here.
Community Highlight
To recognize new and consistent Tableau contributors—we’re excited to have a section within the weekly DataFam Roundup called the Tableau Community Highlight. Find out how to get involved.
Blake Feiza, Decision Science Analyst II
Texas, USA
Blake is a Decision Science Analyst II. He uses Tableau at work for reporting, analysis, and conveying insights and outside of work as a creative outlet. Blake regularly participates in community projects like Makeover Monday and Workout Wednesday, has created dashboards for YouTubers, and even used Tableau to design a unique poster that he gave as a Christmas gift. Blake is also involved in the Tableau community through co-leading the Retail Tableau User Group, publishing vizzes on Tableau Public, and publishing blog posts on his Medium site.
On his Medium blog, Blake hopes to give back to the community that helped him grow into the data professional he is today. He is inspired by the authors that he has learned from as their content showed him the value of sharing knowledge and resources. When choosing topics, Blake looks for unique angles or gaps in existing resources. An example of this was when he found that most content about Figma focuses on web designers, and he saw an opportunity to adapt its tools for dashboard design. This led to his 'Starting to Figma it Out' series. Blake is excited to continue to explore more topics and create more resources to inspire others on their Tableau journeys.
Connect with Blake on LinkedIn, Tableau Public, Bluesky, and on his blog.
