Tableau Live Asia Pacific: Bringing our Asia Pacific Data Community Together
Normally at this time of the year, we are working to bring the Tableau Community together through physical events across the Asia Pacific region. If anyone had suggested that we would instead bring thousands together virtually, we probably would have dismissed the idea as unrealistic. But the normalization of virtual get-togethers has brought an unexpected positive: where our events in Asia Pacific were once country-focused, we can now bring together our community across the region to create a more diverse environment for collaboration and learning.
The result is Tableau Live Asia Pacific, on 26 August 2020. We’re bringing all the good stuff from our physical events—yes, Tableau Doctor appointments, Data Village, and a virtual photo booth are included--to our community online. Our hope is to share this experience with more people than ever before. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:
The relevance of analytics today
As the COVID-19 crisis has forced rapid digital adoption—case in point, this event—the ability to harness the power of your data is more critical than ever. Every digital transformation is a data transformation. That’s particularly relevant in this region—IDC recently predicted by 2022, fully half of the GDP in APAC will be digitally generated.
We’ve brought in leading customers, and Tableau experts to share how analytics can help drive the speed, empowerment, and agility organizations need today to not just survive, but thrive. Customers like Citi will share how they have navigated through this crisis and seized the opportunities to build a data culture. And learn how you can do the same with the Tableau Blueprint framework.
Become a data leader & build your data skills
Recently, CRN India noted, “Most businesses (63 percent globally and 57 percent in APAC) are actively looking for candidates in all parts of their organization that can demonstrate their ability to use, work with and analyze data – presenting a good opportunity for those who can demonstrate these valuable skills.”
Based on what I hear from customers, that percentage feels a bit low. We have been focused on helping people develop data skills since the early days of Tableau. Our Data Skills breakout track is focused on helping attendees understand how to empower everyone across the organization with data. We also have a breakout track and panel discussions focused on understanding what it means to become a data leader.
Innovate for success
Innovation is one of our values, and our experts will be sharing the latest and greatest features. From our recent product releases, to getting to know Einstein Analytics, or a dive into how the combination of Tableau and Einstein Analytics will deliver the broadest and deepest analytics capabilities in the industry—we’re so excited to show you what we’ve been working on.
We can’t wait to open our virtual doors to you on 26 August 2020, bring our community together and enable a supercharged environment of learning and collaboration.
Register for the event here and we look forward to hosting you!
