Tableau 9.1 Includes SSO Support for SAP HANA
In mature SAP implementations, it’s not uncommon for reporting to be a protracted and painful process. Report request forms are giving way to more dynamic reporting models, but there is still a lag between question and answer.
Here’s where Tableau can help. Tableau empowers people to visually query their data in real-time and achieve insights 10 to 100 times faster.
We’re excited to share Tableau Desktop 9.1 includes single sign-on (SSO) support for SAP HANA. This augments Tableau’s connector for SAP HANA. Connectors are also available for SAP BW, Sybase ASE, and Sybase IQ. These connectors simplify your workflow, allowing you to connect once, then leave security to Tableau while you get into the flow of your data.
Tableau works with your current security and roll-based access controls to ensure each person only sees the intended view. Dashboard authors can further define user permissions for editing and downloading workbooks and data.
In addition to SAP-specific data connectors, Tableau has almost 40 others that allow you to natively connect to a variety of data sources. You can bring in data from Excel, your on-premise solutions, or even the cloud to create dashboards that deliver real business impact, regardless of where the data is stored.
