Community Highlight
To recognize new and consistent Tableau contributors—we’re excited to have a section within the weekly DataFam Roundup called the Tableau Community Highlight. Find out how to get involved.
Rudy Castillo, Data Analyst at Brookdale Senior Living
Tennessee, USA
Rudy Castillo is a Data Analyst at Brookdale Senior Living. He began using Tableau during college and self-taught, watching tutorial videos on YouTube and using community projects such as Makeover Monday and Workout Wednesday to get hands-on practice. Now, Rudy uses Tableau to build dashboards that help business leaders make better data-driven decisions. Outside of work, he participates in Makeover Monday and Workout Wednesday challenges to refine his visualization skills and learn best practices. He also publishes vizzes on Tableau Public and engages with other data professionals through LinkedIn and BlueSky.
On his Medium blog, Rudy hopes to document his Tableau knowledge and share his insights with others. When he transitioned into data analytics, he found that writing helped him solidify concepts and reflect on his learning. Tableau Public and initiatives like Makeover Monday and Workout Wednesday were significant in his learning, and he wanted a space to share his experience, tips, and lessons. Rudy’s goal is to help others navigate data visualization in Tableau, while growing as a data storyteller.
Connect with Rudy on Linkedin, Tableau Public, and BlueSky.
