Analytics at Phillips 66
What is self-service analytics?
Self-service analytics is a form of business intelligence in which line-of-business professionals are enabled and encouraged to perform queries and generate reports on their own with nominal IT support. Self-service analytics is often characterized by simple-to-use tools with analytic capabilities that allow business users, citizen data scientists and citizen developers to mine insights and value from information repositories.
What is Tableau?
Tableau is business intelligence software that allows anyone to connect to the respective data to visualize and create interactive, shareable dashboards.
Tableau for Students
With the Tableau for Students program, you qualify for a free one-year Tableau license (every year you’re a student!). It's simple to get started -
Can I install Tableau on more than one device?
You are allowed two activations with the same product key. This means you can install Tableau on up to two devices.
So, make sure you save one of those activations for your Phillips 66 laptop! But this also means you can also have Tableau on your personal device to keep using throughout your next school year.
If you do reach the maximum activations and wish to install on another device, you must deactivate one of those activations. If you need assistance moving or deactivating Tableau on a machine, you can get more information here.
Free Tableau eLearning
Access to Tableau’s entire eLearning suite is also available to you once you have your license. Tableau eLearning is web-based training you can consume at your own pace. Courses are interactive and designed to help you learn Tableau, regardless of skill level.
Once verified through our Tableau for Students program, you will receive a code and instructions on how to register at the Tableau Learning Center.
