Tableau Server Now Supported in Microsoft Azure
Today, we are excited to take another step in the cloud by extending our integration with Microsoft’s cloud platform with support for Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines. To learn more about using Tableau Server with Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines, you can read the following walk-through and best-practices guide.
This is an important part of the broad integration that Tableau offers with Microsoft technologies. Tableau has long had deep integration with Microsoft’s Excel, PowerPivot, SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SQL Server Parallel Data Warehouse. More recently, we announced new integrations with Microsoft’s Azure Data Platform offerings including Spark on Azure HDInsight, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure SQL Database.
These services are a perfect companion to Tableau Online, our secure and scalable cloud analytics solution, and with this new support for Azure Virtual Machines, we continue to provide you with additional choices for getting the most out of your Tableau and Microsoft products.
With Tableau, you can leverage the cloud in a number of ways to deliver analytics to your organization. You can connect to data stored in the cloud and take advantage of Tableau’s hybrid data architecture to analyze your data live or in-memory. You can use Tableau Online to share analytics instantly in the cloud, or you can deploy Tableau Server on the cloud platform of your choice.
