Bora Beran

Bora Beran is the Product Manager at Tableau Software focused on statistics & calculations, technical partnerships and the query generation pipeline. Prior to joining Tableau, Bora worked at Microsoft Research, SQL Server and Windows HPC Server on tools and infrastructure for large scale computational modelling and simulations, data mining, visualisation and knowledge representation. He holds a PhD from Drexel University and is a reviewer for several scholarly journals in the area of technical computing.

    We’re happy to announce the beta release of TabPy, a new API that enables evaluation of Python code from within a Tableau workbook. When you use TabPy with Tableau, you can define calculated fields in Python, thereby leveraging the power of a large number of machine-learning libraries right from your visualisations.
