Tableau Server now available on AWS Marketplace China
Tableau and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are committed to partnering with customers on their cloud analytics journey—regardless of where they are in that journey or where they are located in the world. With native connections to AWS data sources and streamlined Tableau Server deployments on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), launching an agile, end-to-end analytics platform on AWS has never been faster.
In our efforts to support more joint customers around the world, we’re excited to announce that Tableau Server is now available on AWS Marketplace China. AWS Marketplace China is a standalone online store that helps customers find, test, buy, and deploy software and services from Amazon’s partners.
How does it work?
A preconfigured Amazon Machine Image (AMI) launches Tableau Server from the AWS Marketplace China in a streamlined, one-click experience. Customers can find the listing on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) console of AWS China Regions.
This is a “bring-your-own-license” (BYOL) offering, which means if you already have a license for Tableau Server, you can enter the key at the registration step, or you can sign up for a 14-day free trial. At the end of your trial experience, you can obtain a Tableau Server license and continue to collaborate and share insights across your organization.

A global partnership
The AWS Marketplace China listing is the latest addition to an ever-growing roster of options for deploying Tableau Server on AWS. Customers around the world can also self-deploy on Amazon EC2, use an AWS Quick Start, launch via the global Amazon Marketplace, or take advantage of Tableau Online, a fully hosted, enterprise-class analytics platform.
Thousands of customers worldwide are powering their modern cloud analytics solutions with Tableau on AWS, and driving change with their data. For example, in APAC, RedMart reduced report creation time from days to hours, cutting analytics time by 70–80%. In the UK, Hastee Pay integrated AI and analytics into their cloud-first strategy to make insights available in seconds, instead of days. And in the US, Sysco adopted an agile approach with AWS and Tableau to grow their analytics adoption from 64 to more than 12,700 users in three years.
