Iron Viz: Student Edition 2025 is now open!
Iron Viz: Student Edition 2025 is officially open and accepting submissions! We’ll be partnering with IMDb for our theme with a Data+TV data set. 3 winners will receive the opportunity of a compensated trip to attend Tableau Conference 2025, a $250 Tableau Store gift card, and Tableau Certification voucher.
Are you ready to dig into the data and get your viz on? Submissions will be accepted until February 3rd. Get started below!
How It Works
1. Join Tableau for Students
You will need Tableau to complete your visualization. Don't worry—with Tableau for Students, students receive Tableau software licenses and elearning for free. Once you verify your student status, you will receive instructions on how to get started with your Tableau Desktop license.
2. Create a Tableau Public Profile
Only visualizations published on Tableau Public and submitted to our form will be considered valid entries for the contest. If you don't already have one, create a profile on Tableau Public.
3. Get the Data
This year’s data set is about Data + TV, provided in partnership with IMDb. Create a viz that tells a story with data behind the TV shows you love! To get the data, head to Tableau Public to download the workbook or make a copy to get started.
4. Submit your Viz
Publish your visualization to your Tableau Public profile (learn how to do this here) and use #GenData and #DataPlusTV. Once published, include a link to your viz in the contest submission form.
