DataFam Roundup: September 9-13, 2024
Welcome! Dig into this week's DataFam Roundup—a weekly blog that brings together community content all in one post. As always, we invite you to send us your content—and the DataFam content from your peers that have inspired you! Find the content submission form here.
Community Highlight
To recognize new and consistent Tableau contributors—we’re excited to have a section within the weekly DataFam Roundup called the Tableau Community Highlight. Find out how to get involved.
Luis Contreras, Project Manager
Dominican Republic
Luis Contreras is Project Manager. He accredits his Tableau skills to the breadth of resources online such as Tableau training videos and the Community Forums. In addition, trial and error was very helpful for Luis, he began creating simple dashboards and reports and started to explore more advanced features such as calculated fields, data blending, and dashboard actions as he became more comfortable with Tableau. Now, Luis is involved in the Healthcare and Tableau Public User Groups and shares his knowledge on his YouTube channel.
On his YouTube channel, Luis prioritizes topics that he feels are relevant in the day to day life of a Tableau user, as well as short and easy to digest videos. Luis created his YouTube channel to create a space for Spanish speakers who use Tableau. Because English is the dominant language in business around the world, Luis aims to remove language related barriers for Spanish speakers who want to be a part of the DataFam.
Connect with Luis on Linkedin, X, Tableau Public, and on his YouTube channel.
