Waqar Ahmed Shaikh, Unit Head MIS & HR Analytics
Karachi, Pakistan
Waqar Ahmed Shaikh is the Unit Head of MIS & HR Analytics. His journey with Tableau began in 2022 while he was completing the Google Data Analytics Certification, and Tableau evolved into his favored tool for data visualization. The straightforward capability to convert raw data into engaging, interactive dashboards without the need for extensive coding immediately captured Waqar’s interest. He pursued self-study through online tutorials, YouTube videos, and practical applications to learn Tableau. Furthermore, his participation in community initiatives like #RWFD and #MakeOverMonday, coupled with constructive feedback from the DataFam, played a crucial role in his learning process.
Currently, Waqar engages with the Tableau Community through projects such as #B2VB, #RWFD, and #MakeOverMonday. He regularly shares his dashboard designs on Tableau Public and LinkedIn to connect with fellow enthusiasts, gather feedback, and inspire those new to data visualization. To further support learning, Waqar also manages a YouTube channel where he shares tutorials and helpful tips to enhance others' Tableau skills. Additionally, he engages the Tableau Community in Pakistan, fostering connections among members through a WhatsApp group to exchange ideas, share resources, and support each other's growth in data visualization.
