Iron Viz: Student Edition has joined Iron Viz!
We’ve teamed up to bring students together with the rest of the DataFam for the biggest data visualization competition in the world, now including students! This year’s competition theme is Food & Drink. The top 3 placing students will win a Tableau certification voucher and the highest scoring student will win the grand prize of Tableau swag and the opportunity to attend Tableau Conference, sponsored by us.

Iron Viz: Student Edition FAQ
Iron Viz: Student Edition has teamed up with Iron Viz to bring together all communities of the DataFam together in the biggest data visualization competition in the world, including students. To be considered for the student-specific prizes, simply follow the submission rules for Iron Viz, as described on the Iron Viz homepage, and self-identify as a student on the submission form.
This year’s theme for the Iron Viz qualifiers is Food & Drink. All submissions must be published to Tableau Public (make sure your data is shareable) and also have a link submitted through the competition form by November 21, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT.

The top 3 placing students will receive a Tableau certification voucher. The highest scoring student will receive a Tableau certification voucher, a $200 gift card to the Tableau store, and a partially subsidized trip to Tableau conference (including travel ticket to and from the conference, conference registration, and hotel accomodation).
All submissions are considered for the Iron Viz grand prizes so there is no need to take any additional steps. Students will also be considered for student-specific prizes if they self-identify as a student on the submission form.
Tableau Academic Programs provides free software, learning and teaching resources to students and educators to empower everyone with data skills.
